Imminent Bandemonium

By Dan on September 25, 2008 in mp3blog

For the uninitiated, Bandemonium is a special block of programming on KRLX highlighting the work of a particular artist, every Friday from 7-9 p.m.

This week, folk music lover Hannah Waters brings us the mandolin stylings of David Grisman. Grisman completely redefined the instrument into a style called "dawg," and has incorporated a diverse range of bluegrass, jazz and classical into his playing. Since the '70s he has collaborated with the likes of Jerry Garcia, Stephane Grappelli, Doc Watson and more.

Like all bandemoniums, this is not to be missed, and makes a perfect soundtrack for presidential debates to boot!

David Grisman with Mark O'Connor - Caprice for CM

David Grisman with Jerry Garcia and Tony Rice - Long Black Veil
