Beach House sounds like sunlight leaking through dirty windows on a cold winter day. Victoria Legrand's eerie lyrics and full-bodied melodies push through the streaks of cheap cleaning fluid and come out sounding even more beautiful because of it, floating on the back of Alex Scally's shimmering organs and guitars.

Now I'm gonna go all Amazon.com on you: IF YOU LIKED BEACH HOUSE, YOU'LL LOVE RUBY SUNS. No, seriously, their new album was just released by Sub Pop and it's absolutely beautiful. Their press-release describes the album as "ten tracks of globe-trotting, Tropicalia-infused psychedelic pop, sprinkled with references to the Beach Boys, Eno and a ton of others," and I can't help but agree.
