This is who should be dancing like this: middle school kids who notice that they start to feel funny whenever Kristina or Diane or Nicole is around. No respectable parent would approve of it, but it’s innocent enough that you can’t get too mad. But now that you’re old enough that in some countries you’d be in the fifth year of your marriage and have two kids, there’s no good excuse for why you should be doing this at a Sayles dance. This is the kind of shit that guys force themselves to forget about the next morning, and leads girls to wake up reevaluating their life. No Friday flowers can come of this.

What if Scarlett Johnansson went to our school and she wasn’t a famous actress or anything, just some really strikingly beautiful girl. Like, would you approach her? Would you be really aggressive about it, or play it cool? Would you just stare at her from afar? Whatever your answer, I want you to readjust your strategy with girls accordingly, because you have to start treating every hot girl like she’s a Scarlett J.: out-of-this-world awesome if you get with her, and kind of, “Whatever, she was out-of-my-league anyway,” if you don’t. She makes me so dizzy I’m not sure my Friday flowers notes would be in English.

It’s harder for girls to end droughts with guys because they’re worried about freaking the guy out if they’re too aggressive. But if it’s any consolation, no matter how bad you feel about your luck as of late, just know that there’s at least one guy who drools every time he sees you around campus and hangs on every word you have ever said to him. That’s not who you want buying your Friday flowers, but that should add some bounce to your step this weekend, right?

So what if you didn’t get Friday flowers? Neither did most of us. That’s when you take a trip to the liquor store, pick up a 24 rack and goof around with your crew all afternoon.
