Friday Flowers Tips, No. 2

Most of us weren’t born good looking enough to sit around and watch the girls come to us, so we had to develop a personality. But don’t take your personality off the deep end! Everyone loves the guy willing to throw himself out there and be the life of the party, but that doesn’t mean you have to don some stupid, “ironic” look and play your tennis racket like you’re Joe Perry or something to get attention. Just play it cool, dude, and pretty soon your mailboxes will be overflowing with Friday flowers.

The Hunches - Where Am I

With girls, it’s the little things that we remember. That’s why accessories can be so clutch. No matter how good you look, your basic clothes can only push you so far. It’s stuff like the bandanas, the funny socks or the stupidly oversized glasses that are going to catch our eyes, and have you lingering in our mind the next time we’re buying Friday flowers.

The Mummies - Sooprize Package for Mr. Mineo

The reason guys in bands get girls is that, no matter how much they suck, they still have something going for them. That’s why every guy should have a shitty cassette dub of some obscure punk album he downloaded off the Internet. When you’re hanging out with a girl for the first time, ask her if she wants to listen to your old “demo,” and then make a crack about how poorly your drunk friend mic’d your drum kit that night. It’s a harmless lie, and she’ll be giving you Friday flowers in no time.

Swing Kids - Situation on Mars

Fuck hot. Hot is so ‘90s. Where have all the cute, androgynous girls in thrift store T-shirts gone? She looks like a bullshit detector who I want to watch Woody Allen movies with and buy Friday Flowers for.
